Garry Winogrand - Blog Response

     Garry Winogrand is an American street photographer from New York City. Most of his work relies on people he sees when he is walking around. They are very relaxed photos, not posed or super specific in what they're looking for. I really like this style of photography. I don't hate editorial photography, but these feel much more raw and I enjoy that.  Garry Winogrand, World’s Fair, New York City, 1964     I really like this photo above. It is very simple at first glance, but the people themselves are all very complex. You can see many different relationship dynamics through them and it was captured very well. While I do really like this photo, I do see that this style comes with some downsides. It appears that this photo was taken very quickly (or Winogrand is good at getting people to trust a stranger who wants to take their photo) so we can assume he did not have time to make all the technical details perfect.
